Health and Treatments Overview

The treatment system in Cattle360 lets you record medications, vaccinations, and other health interventions for each animal. Treatment records include dates, dosages, withdrawal periods, and booster schedules.

What Is a Treatment Record?

A treatment record captures a single health intervention for an animal:

  • Date Administered — When the treatment was given.
  • Medication — The name of the medication, vaccine, or product.
  • Dosage — The amount administered.
  • Withdraw Date — The date after which the animal is clear of the medication (important for animals destined for market).
  • Booster Date — When a follow-up dose is due.
  • Comments — Additional notes about the treatment.

Where Treatment Records Appear

  • Animal record — The Treatments tab on each animal shows all treatment history.
  • Workings — Treatments applied during a working session are automatically linked to the animal’s treatment history.

Why Track Treatments?

  • Withdrawal compliance — Ensure animals are not sold or processed before medication withdrawal periods have elapsed.
  • Booster reminders — Track when follow-up vaccinations or treatments are due.
  • Health history — Maintain a complete record of what medications each animal has received, useful for veterinary consultations and herd health planning.
  • Regulatory compliance — Having accurate treatment records helps meet record-keeping requirements for livestock operations.
