How to Delete a Transaction
Deleting a transaction removes it from your financial records, dashboard totals, and all reports.
From the Dashboard or Ledger
- Find the transaction you want to delete.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the transaction row.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
From the Edit Dialog (Desktop)
- Open a transaction for editing (see How to Edit a Transaction).
- On desktop, a red Delete button appears at the bottom of the dialog.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What Happens When You Delete
- The transaction is removed from the dashboard, ledger, and all report totals.
- If the transaction had an attached receipt, the receipt is not deleted — it becomes a standalone receipt.
- Any profitability group and tag assignments for that transaction are removed.
- This action cannot be undone.
