How to Delete a Transaction

Deleting a transaction removes it from your financial records, dashboard totals, and all reports.

From the Dashboard or Ledger

  1. Find the transaction you want to delete.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the transaction row.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

From the Edit Dialog (Desktop)

  1. Open a transaction for editing (see How to Edit a Transaction).
  2. On desktop, a red Delete button appears at the bottom of the dialog.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

What Happens When You Delete

  • The transaction is removed from the dashboard, ledger, and all report totals.
  • If the transaction had an attached receipt, the receipt is not deleted — it becomes a standalone receipt.
  • Any profitability group and tag assignments for that transaction are removed.
  • This action cannot be undone.
