Recording a Pregnancy Check
A pregnancy check confirms whether a bred animal is pregnant. Recording the results in Cattle360 updates the animal’s breeding status and provides a record for reference.
How to Record a Pregnancy Check
- Open the breeding record for the animal.
- Navigate to the Pregnancy Check section.
- Fill in the results:
- Check Date — When the pregnancy check was performed.
- Result — Positive (pregnant) or negative (open).
- Method — The method used:
- Ultrasound — Ultrasound examination.
- Palpation — Manual rectal palpation.
- Blood Test — Pregnancy-associated blood test.

What Happens After Saving

Tips
- Record the method. Different methods have different accuracy levels and timing requirements. Recording the method helps interpret results.
- Note days pregnant. This helps verify the expected due date and identify potential breeding date errors.
- Check early and confirm later. Early detection allows management decisions; later confirmation improves accuracy.
