Bulk Animal Actions

When you need to update multiple animals at once, bulk actions save time by letting you apply the same operation to a group of animals in a single step.

Available Bulk Actions

  • Bulk Sale — Mark multiple animals as sold with lot-based pricing.
  • Bulk Promote / Demote — Move a group of animals to the next or previous production stage.
  • Bulk Weaning — Wean multiple animals at once. See Bulk Weaning for details.
  • Bulk Update — Update common fields across selected animals from a group view.

How to Use Bulk Actions

  1. Navigate to a Group that contains the animals you want to update.
  2. Select the animals or use Select All.
  3. Click Bulk Actions and choose the operation.
  4. Fill in the required details for the action.
  5. Confirm to apply the changes.

Bulk Sale

Bulk sale lets you sell multiple animals together with shared sale details:

  • Sale Date — The date of the sale (applies to all selected animals).
  • Price Method — Weight-based ($/lb or $/cwt) or total price.
  • Sale Barn / Buyer — Where or to whom the animals were sold.
  • Sale Barn Fees — Commission or fees deducted from the sale.

Each animal’s sale weight can be entered individually, or an average weight can be applied to the lot.

Tips

  • Create a group first. Before running a bulk action, make sure the animals are organized in a group. This makes selection easier and more accurate.
  • Review before confirming. Bulk actions affect multiple records at once. Double-check the selected animals and details before confirming.
  • Use sale tickets for financials. Bulk sales can generate sale tickets that automatically appear in your financial records.
